Stop by the farm shop during our December hours to buy some of your favorite local products. Come by anytime between:
Thursday December 6th from 9AM to 6PM
Friday December 7th from 9AM to 6PM
Saturday December 8th from 8AM to 12PM
In addition to our regular shop products, we will feature a unique addition from shareholder Megan Groves! Some of Megan’s handmade pouches from The Path Less Raveled (check our her etsy shop here for other products) will be available and are pictured below. Small and large pouches are made from coffee bags and upcycled fabrics.
We will also be offering local, non-GMO eggs for sale from Farmer Scott at Nature’s Own Farm in Columbus, NJ. We will only have a certain amount for sale, so please e-mail Jess at [email protected] with your pre-order amount so that we can order appropriately. Eggs will be sold at $5.50 per dozen.
Tait Farm food products, Yellow Bee Honey, Joe’s Chips and Tea, Griggstown pastas and other select items will be marked down by a third. These products are sure to kick-up your holiday dishes or make unique gifts for friends and family.
Here are some ideas for our products:
Tait Farms Sour Cherry Jam — Simmer jam in a pot and drizzle on cooked pork chops or tenderloin.
Tait Farms Lemon Vinaigrette — Use as a marinade for chicken breast ( especially Nature’s Own, in our freezer! ) or simmer in a pan and add chicken cutlets for a quick and easy chicken francaise.
Tait Farms Cranberry Shrub — Make a ‘yule mule’ drink for your next holiday gathering, recipe here
, or use to make a seasonal vinaigrette.
Tait Farms assorted jams and preserves — Serve alongside cheese and crackers for an easy appetizer.
Tait Farms Raspberry Barbecue Cooking Sauce — Great for making savor chicken wings. Also pairs well with roasted sweet potatoes and tofu.
Tait Farms Raspberry Teriyaki
— A perfect addition to any stir-fry. Simmer sauce in a pan with sliced hinona kabu turnips and mushrooms; serve over rice or chopped napa cabbage for a savory vegetarian dinner.
Beef and Smoked Pork
We will have grass-fed beef from Brightview Farm for sale, ground as well as a variety of steaks and retail cuts. There is some smoked pork left for sale including soup bones, fat back, scrapple, pigs feet, and some hocks. Sold first-come first-served!
Despite the colder temperature, some of our kale and collard plants are still growing nicely out in the fields. We will have bags of Kale and Collards for sale while they last, $4 for a 1 lb. bag.
