Environmental Education Center
The Environmental Education Center is a non-profit 501-c-3 organization with a mission is to provide hands–on educational experiences for all young people by exploring the complex interconnectedness of our natural world. Our purpose is to educate children about food, agriculture, and the environment. We believe people should make meaningful connections with our natural world in order to become responsible stewards of local and global sustainability.
Ages 3-5
The Saplings program at Fernbrook Farms is a play-based nature program for young learners aged 3-5, uniquely designed to provide the roots for lifelong learning and connection with nature.
Saplings students spend much of their days outdoors, immersed in Fernbrook’s many diverse ecosystems. They’re encouraged to explore, inquire, experiment, discover, and challenge themselves. Saplings teachers join students in open-ended play, guide them in nature investigation, and deepen their learning with hands-on activities.

Homeschool Classes
Fernbrook Farms Environmental Education Center runs hands-on, outdoor science and nature classes here at the farm for Homeschool students ages 3–17 throughout the school year.
