Mission and Purpose

The Environmental Education Center is a non-profit 501-c-3 organization with a mission is to provide hands–on educational experiences for all young people by exploring the complex interconnectedness of our natural world. Our purpose is to educate children about food, agriculture, and the environment. We believe people should make meaningful connections with our natural world in order to become responsible stewards of local and global sustainability.

Ages 3-5

Saplings!

The Saplings program is a play-based nature program for young learners. Sapling students will have the unique opportunity to develop meaningful connections with their peers, teachers, and the natural world while immersed in the diverse ecosystems of Fernbrook Farms. When they graduate, they will be ready for kindergarten!

Fernbrook Farms Environmental Education Center was formed in 2001 as a non–profit organization to educate children through year–round programs for campers, homeschooled children, public and private schools, scout groups, and more.

Homeschool Classes

We offer age specific two programs with a focus is hands-on activities, exploration, games and experiments to provide students with a better understanding of nature, food, agriculture, and the environment.
