Winter Break Camp

Winter shouldn't keep us indoors!

Winter Break Camp is held at Fernbrook Farms Environmental Education Center around Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and Presidents Day each year for students to enjoy days outside with friends and engage with nature. Click on the registration form on the right to see exact dates.

The program is available for ages 6–11 from 8:30am to 4pm with extended care available from 7:30-8:30am before and 4:00-5:30pm after camp. The daily schedule of farm animal feeding, exploration, snack, and choice activities mirrors the special Fernbrook Farms summer camp schedule but with seasonal winter activities.

winter comes alive

What do you do at camp during the winter?

We might follow animal tracks in the snow (or mud), make winter bird feeders, build snow forts, learn about winter wilderness survival, warm up near the fireplace, tap sugar maple trees to make syrup, play camouflage and other outdoor games, visit the farm animals and so much more!

The exact dates for Winter Break Camp are listed on the online registration form. If your child wants to get outside and explore the farm with us on these school vacation days, register online or call us (609-298-4028) with any questions.
