Fall Break Camp

Fall is the perfect season for outdoor exploring in farm fields and forests!

Fall Break Camp is held at Fernbrook Farms Environmental Education Center on Thursday and Friday during the NJ Education Association Conference when schools are closed each year. Students can come to Fernbrook to enjoy a fun day outside with friends engaging with nature on a school vacation day.

The program is ideal for grades 1st-6th (~ ages 6-11) from 8:30am to 4pm with extended care available from 7:30-8:30am before and 4:00-5:30pm after camp. Registration is by day, instead of weekly like summer camp. The daily schedule of farm animal feeding, exploration, snack, activities and journal time follows the unique Fernbrook summer camp schedule but with seasonal fall activities that cannot always be incorporated in summer.

What do you do at fall camp?

We might be hiking through the colorful fall forests, carving jack-o-lanterns, cooking a hearty fall soup from Fernbrook crops, hanging dried gourd bird feeders, jumping in piles of leaves, visiting the farm animals, taking a hay ride and so much more!

The exact dates for Fall Break Camp are listed on the registration forms. If you’d like to bring your child to explore the Farm with us on these school vacation days, print and mail the registration form when it is posted or call 609-298-4028 with any questions.
